WHAT IS CHILIMAUGA?

Chilimauga is a family-friendly chili cook-off competition and street fair.

We welcome all skill levels to compete from prized family recipes to restaurant-style. Tickets will be sold to attendees for tasting and judging. Enjoy live music and vendors throughout the event.

This fundraising event benefits the Gordon Lee Marching Trojan Band and is presented by the Gordon Lee Band Boosters

Tasting Ticket

You be the judge!

Your ticket covers chili tasting and voting. Tickets can be purchased online for $10 in advance or for $15 at the event.

What you get:

A voting ballot receives one sample cup of chili from each competitor from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. While supplies last.

Breakfast with Santa

Come enjoy a magically filled exclusive breakfast with Santa, Mrs. Claus and a special visit from the well known Princess, Belle.

Tickets are limited so don’t miss this opportunity to have breakfast with Santa, cookie decorating and a special photo op opportunity for Christmas, all while showing support for the Gordon Lee Marching Band. Breakfast starts at 9am on Saturday November 8, 2025 inside Droop Scoops located at 201 Gordon St., Chickamauga, Ga 30707.

Booth Registration

Competitors

We welcome all skill levels to compete. Please prepare red chili. Red chili is defined as any type of meat such as beef, pork, lamb, bison, chicken, turkey or meat substitute (if vegan or vegetarian), cooked with red chili peppers and other spices and ingredients. Beans ARE permitted.

Contestants are required to have a minimum of 500 2oz servings (around 8 gallons) available for serving to patrons who have purchased tickets. That's the minimum but remember, the more chili you bring for the patrons, the better your chance to win! If contestants have chili left, they may sell it after 2:00PM.

Electricity will not be provided for this event. Please use propane, sterno or a battery pack to keep your chili at a safe temperature. Booths are 10'x10'. Teams will need to supply their own tent, tables, and chairs.

Prizes

The Judge's Choice Winner will receive a $300 cash prize and trophy.
The People’s Choice Winner will receive a $300 cash prize and trophy.
The Hottest Chili Winner will receive a $150 cash prize and trophy.
The Best Presentation Booth will receive a $100 cash prize and trophy.

Set up is from 8:00AM - 10:00AM. The event ends at 4:00PM.

Local Vendors

We are looking for crafters and creatives that would like to set up a 10'X10' booth space to sell at our event. Please no food vendors. You must provide your own tent, tables, and chairs. Items must not be mass produced commercial products.
